In addition to discounts being able to be applied individually to a Visit entry they can also be appllied to a Payment entry.  The discounts can be per visit or on a percentage basis.  When entering a Payment and prior to clicking a Save button you can enter the amount or percent in the centre right of the Payment screen.  This discount will be added to the Discount field and automatically applied to the payment.
